Debug Issues
Oops, something went wrong, and you're here to troubleshoot or report the issue.
Most likely, it's a user error, but the question is: which user, and how do we prevent it from happening again?
Use the sections below to explore common issues, fixes, and tips for debugging the GameTop Table system.
Remember, this is a game meant for fun! Everyone makes mistakes—players and the quirky folks who built the system. Be kind to your web-footed friends!
Physical - Board Issues
This section provides tips for resolving issues related to physical, mechanical, or layout problems with the game boards.
- Ball stuck: Use or borrow a magnetic wand to retrieve the ball.
- Board setup: Select items from your storage bin on the side to draw or create on the board.
- Creative play: Treat the board like doodling in the sand on a beach. Work as a team or customize your own side/space.
- Resetting the board: Use the magnetic brush to level out the sand, returning it to a clean, flat surface.
Other - Miscellaneous Debug Issues
Reboot the Board
When in doubt, reboot the system to reset any glitches. Turn off the power using the switch on the middle leg at the bottom, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
Game Rules Confusion
If players are confused about rules, refer to the game manual stored in the side pouch or check the rules section on the main website for clarity.
Game Setup Issues
Ensure all RJ45 cables are securely connected and alignment pins are properly inserted. Double-check the setup sequence if tables are misaligned.
Game Play Problems
If gameplay feels off, verify that all components (e.g., pucks, pins, or balls) are in good condition. Replace damaged items from the storage bin.
